[LD-SIG Discussion List] peeling diversity with a knife...

Dear Andy, Amanda, Steve, anyone,
to be honest, I'd be as interested in hearing about what
someone learned from any of the non-language activies
you've mentioned as I would about a teacher's reflection
on learning a new language... And if we do one day have a
forum, poster roundabout, or whatever about learning
different things, that will be really good. (Or have you
already done that?!) The distance and diversity may well
serve to make things clearer.
But... as I'm going to start learning Korean very soon, I
was sort of looking for fellow language learners to share
impressions with, and to have a kind of network that would
both provide support and serve as an impetus for
reflecting on the experience and keeping a record of the
reflections. If you're planning to take up snowboarding or
pottery or fruit-peeling as a long-term thing, that might
do as well, especially if you see it as spanning months or
years!
