Dear LD Members and Friends,

Thank you Richard and James for posting the upcoming LD-Sig and JALT events
on this list. I recommend all of them and we have two LD-SIG presentations
on June 19th with Ellen Head at the Toyohashi JALT,

More details : http://jalt.org/category/city/toyohashi

and a forum at Nakasendo 2011 in Tokyo on the same day.

 More details: http://nakasendoconference.com/

<http://nakasendoconference.com/>As I mentioned, again, I highly recommend
both conferences along with the CUE-SIG Conference a highlight in July, and
if you haven't planned to go already to one, some, or all of them and are
free of other commitments, please consider dropping by. They are all chances
to engage in learning and teaching and be around people to share stories
with. Get back to a closer normal during these extra-ordinary times.

At the Nakasedo conference in Tokyo, there are spaces to volunteer at the
LD-SIG desk or just drop by, especially if you are attending anyway. It
could be a time to help with unpacking at the LD-Sig desk in the morning,
just stop by and hang out for awhile, a space to talk about LD-Sigs long
term commitment to Tohoku area for learners in need, finding out more about
our new events, or just help with packing up at the end of the day.

Here is a desk rota of available times at Nakasendo2011. Please email me at
stacey.vye at gmail.com to book a time if you are available (I'll do my best at
24 hour time thingy):

09:00 - 09:30
09:30 - 10:00
10:00 -10:30
10:30 - 11:00
11:30 - 12:00
-Short morning times to allow for milling in and out of LD poster sessions,
events, sharing learning and teaching, and having coffee.

Lunch (Let's eat!)

-afternoon times coincide with the time tables of the conference
13:10 - 13:55
13:55 - 14:45

Coffee/meet & greet

15:10 -15:50

15:50 - on Quick desk clean up help and go to the posters

**BIG Note :) --> *You will not be abandoned after your time is finished and
you can leave the desk when the time commitment is finished. No worries
there.
