Third Learner Development SIG Online Get-Together

We hope that you are all keeping healthy and that your teaching is going well as we begin to near the end of the semester. The LD Get-together team is happy to announce that the LD get-together will be holding our our third and final meeting for the spring semester, on Sunday July 12th starting 14:30. We would love to see you there!
In our first meeting, we discussed a range of challenges, ideas, and strategies for virtual classroom teaching; and in our second meeting, we shared the challenges we had experienced whilst teaching in this new environment. You can find the summary of our second meeting here:

We are now approaching the end of the spring semester and there are rumors that many institutions are planning to go online or partially online next semester due to social distancing guidelines. Therefore, for our third and final meeting for the spring semester, we would like to focus on talking about what we have learnt from our online teaching experience this semester, and discuss strategies to improve our online teaching, if we have to teach online again next semester.
As this is an online meeting, members for all over Japan are welcome to join, not just the Tokyo area. We also welcome teachers from diverse teaching contexts – including elementary school, junior high school, senior high school, university, distance learning & graduate studies, and language school settings – and teachers teaching languages other than English.
We plan to hold the meeting using the Zoom platform. However, many of you may have heard that Zoom has been having issues with privacy and so-called ‘Zoom-bombing’. Therefore, we are not including the access link to the meeting in this message.
